We are currently recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to assist with the preparation of our office move on a 4-month fixed term basis!
The Role
This role will primarily support the physical setup for the office relocation, while assisting with daily tasks as required. You will be responsible for conducting physical moves of furniture, office equipment, and bulk documentation. You will also assist employees with waste removal from the floors and help with waste disposal from our current site. You will support the move at the current and new office, including tasks such as physical relocation, record updating, and simple administrative duties.
Other responsibilities include:
* Manual lifting and use trolleys and trucks to aid moving furniture.
* Following health and safety rules and guidelines and keeping the office safe throughout this period of change.
* Following plans on packing and removing items from floors to be relocated.
* Keeping records of what actions have been taken and escalating any issues or additional requirements.
* Understanding separation of waste (WEEE, Recycling etc).
* Supporting and assisting any contractors being used for the office move.
* Liaising with IT on the removal of IT equipment and decommissioning of IT areas and equipment from Clements Lane.
Person Specification
This role would be ideal for an individual with a willing and ‘can-do’ attitude seeking experience in an office setting over the summer. This position involves significant manual lifting, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable with the physical demands of the role. Previous experience in a facilities or caretaker capacity is desirable but not essential.
