Bath This highly successful, fast-growth organisation seeks a Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to drive continued improvements across procurement, logistics, contract negotiation, contract management, and materials management This private-sector company has an enviable success story with a sizeable proportion of its operation is in partnership with the public sector, through out-sourced contracts. This permanent position requires a strategic thinker, and also a hands-on operational manager to oversee the acquisition, delivery and efficiency of services while managing procurement and logistics to ensure excellence and compliance across all practices. The successful candidate will have strong customer service and organisational skills, as well as the ability to develop successful partnerships across organisational boundaries, and with external suppliers and partners. Profile: Maximise supply-chain effectiveness, whilst managing procurement efficiencies and opportunities Lead delivery of an efficient and effective supply chain programme Implement improved purchasing processes. Negotiate improved positions with suppliers where appropriate Serve as a key member of the Senior Management Team. Be a positive influence with SMT Apply matrix management methodology across supply-chain management Assessment of stakeholder requirements (quality, safety, costs) and determine the appropriate supplier or supply route (including capacity) Analysis of financial and purchasing data from quotes, and with the CFO, negotiate contract awards. Ensure judgements are made within compliance and values frameworks, including delegation of authority, and any appropriate factors. Relationship creation, and development with stakeholders, using influence, tact and diplomacy so that organisational, and stakeholder needs are known and exceeded. Negotiation and management of supplier contracts, including overcoming contractual issues Ability to write clear reports and/or present information appropriate for a range of different stakeholders. Ability to plan independently and interdependently with a range of stakeholders. Demonstrate the ability to prioritise and manage a diverse workload to meet key deadlines. Material Management experience Implementation of supply chain/inventory management, ERP or MRP systems.
