Qualified Nursery Nurse / Early Years Practitioner, Full-Time Position in Wakefield
Trust Education are working with nursery settings in the heart of the Wakefield district, committed to providing high-quality early years education in a safe and nurturing environment. We are currently seeking a qualified Nursery Nurse or Early Years Practitioner to join us to work via Trust Education on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to make a significant impact in the early years of children's education while enjoying the flexibility and support that comes with working through a supply agency.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the planning and delivery of fun and engaging activities that encourage learning, creativity, and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
2. Provide tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring inclusive learning and adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
3. Work closely with SENCOs, parents, and other professionals to implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs) and additional support strategies.
4. Provide outstanding care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
5. Support the daily routines in the setting, assisting with feeding, nappy changing, and promoting self-independence.
6. Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and parents to create a welcoming, collaborative environment.
7. Monitor children's development, keeping accurate records of their progress and reporting on milestones.
8. Promote and maintain positive behaviour and emotional well-being in all children.
Qualifications and Criteria to Apply:
1. Hold a minimum of a Level 3 Qualification in Early Years Education / Childcare (or equivalent). If you hold a Level 1 or Level 2 qualification, we still encourage you to apply! We have additional positions available for those looking to further develop their careers in the childcare sector.
2. Have a genuine passion for working with young children, including those with Special Educational Needs, and contributing to their development.
3. Have experience or willingness to work with children who require additional learning support.
4. Have excellent communication skills, able to effectively engage with both children and adults.
5. Be a strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
6. Have an enthusiastic and proactive approach to childcare, offering different ideas and concepts to develop young minds.
