Birmingham City Football Club is looking for a creative and dynamic Midweight Graphic Designer to join our Fan Experience team within the Marketing, Media & Brand department. This exciting role will see you supporting the Men’s and Women’s teams, Academies, and BCFC Foundation, as well as working with Commercial, Retail, and Events departments. You’ll collaborate with our brand, design, marketing, and social media teams to produce high-quality visual assets across a variety of platforms, from retail merchandise and digital media to live events and in-stadium signage. Core Responsibilities: Design: Create high-quality graphics for social media, websites, email templates, and other digital platforms. Design printed materials such as brochures, posters, banners, and matchday programmes. Develop promotional materials for Club events, retail, ticketing, and membership sales. Take an active role in project planning and ideation sessions. Brand Management: Ensure all designs align with the Club’s brand guidelines and visual identity. Maintain and update brand assets, including logos, typography, and colour schemes. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, content creation, and digital teams to deliver cohesive campaigns. Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and other creatives to produce engaging content. Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide updates. Innovation and Trends: Stay updated with design trends, industry standards, and competitive activities to push creative boundaries and improve output. Propose new design ideas to enhance brand visibility and engagement. What We’re Looking For in You: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. P rofessional graphic design experience, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry. Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects). Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory. Experience in both digital content creation and print materials. A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of creative projects. Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, especially in photo retouching and brand development. Desirable Skills: Video editing, animation, and 3D drawing skills are a plus. Personal Requirements: A passion for football and understanding of the sport’s visual storytelling. A flexible, adaptable attitude and proactive approach. Strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Terms of Appointment: 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. 20 days annual leave (rising by 1 day per completed year of service, up to a maximum of 25 days), plus 8 statutory bank holidays. 6-month probation period.
