NHS Forth Valley AHP Children’s Services has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our service in this new post. You will be key member of the team that supports the delivery of a wide range of quality, safety, and governance activities across the service particularly around the provision of AAC (alternative and augmentative communication) aids. There will be detailed support to help you understand the role of AAC. You will be part of Forth Valley’s Innovation Team in the first instance and work closely with the AHP Manager, Team Coordinators and AAC lead, You will have the opportunity to contribute to and facilitate planning, testing, and measuring, and reporting on change projects and programmes including advice and source AACs suitable apps ensuring best practice in terms of GDPR and cyber security. In addition, you will assist Speech and Language Therapists support their patients in the use of the apps. There will also be opportunities to provide wider support around reporting mechanisms and use of data to help decision making and help improve services. You will be educated to at least an HND, though preferably degree level or have equivalent qualifications/ relevant experience, ideally in a Business or IT/computer related subject. We are looking for someone with a good understanding of quality improvement / project / change management principles and some experience of the use of these ideally in health care settings. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills and be a confident communicator. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and project management skills, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to apply process and analytical thinking to enable health and care improvement for both patients, staff and the healthcare system. You will also have an awareness of the role of technology in health and care and also be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office packages and skilled in data collection, analysis and reporting Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area is essential for this post.
