About the Role As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cover various aspects of design technology, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and supporting students in achieving their full potential. Key Responsibilities of Design and Technology Teacher Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Design Technology. Teach a range of subjects to students in Key Stage 3 (Ages 11-14) and Key Stage 4 (Ages 14-16). Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to the diverse learning needs of students. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and industry standards in design technology. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement. Support students in developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge in design technology. Requirements of Design and Technology Teacher Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Design Technology at the secondary school level. Strong knowledge of the curriculum and industry standards in design technology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
