About the apprenticeship
Duties
Principal Accountabilities:
•Adhere to all health and safety standards
•Enroll on, and complete, an Electrical Engineering college learning path
•Be receptive and show capability while learning about Manufacturing Process Maintenance and fault finding
•Use a methodical and logical approach to problem solving
•Produce required academic/NVQ work to a high standard in an agreed timeframe
•Have the ability to learn how to interact and understand PLC systems
•Have the ability to Learn and understand ABB Industrial Robot maintenance and fault finding
•Have the ability to learn how to interact and run Industry leading automation, including robot tended machining cells and Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) material delivery systems
•Work effectively as part of a Team
•Work on a 3 shift pattern in years 3 and 4.
•Have the ability to accurately collect, and analyse, data
•Consider environmental factors surrounding the job and dispose of waste accordingly
•Learn and understand, best practice, Electrical circuit

•Take ownership of working environment
•Naturally maintain an infectious positive attitude
•Feel passion towards their work/Engineering, be driven and self motivated
•Show the ability to be able to make confident decisions in a working environment
•Essential – 5 GCSEs grade A* to C. This must include a B in Maths and at least C in Science and English Language (or Welsh as a first language)
•Desirable – Previous work experience in industrial Brake Manufacturing environment
