At Breakfree Holidays, we have the widest selection of UK and European Holiday Parks, Cottages, Lodges, Hotels, Ferries, Attractions, and Boating holidays from all your favourite brands, and we have sent over 20 million people on holiday in the last 30 years – our mission is to achieve significant sustained growth in the coming years.
To help us achieve this, we're looking for a Content Manager to turn this vision into reality. We want to inspire people to explore the UK and make our brand an integral part of any journey.
We are looking for someone wanting to start their career in content marketing, search engine optimisation (SEO), and social media. You’ll work closely with our SEO Strategist and Head of Marketing to ensure the amazing content that we create reaches as many people as possible online. You would be responsible for collaborating with marketing, content, and external freelancers to scale and grow our organic traffic across all our touchpoints from the blog to our social channels.
Responsibilities
1. Creating and maintaining a pipeline of high-value and high-quality, search optimised content that aligns with our content strategy.
2. Managing all social media channels.
3. Reviewing, editing, and publishing content across all touchpoints of the brand.
4. Exploring link opportunities and partnerships in the travel sector.
5. Optimising existing website content using various tools and techniques.
6. Researching the competitive landscape, both in SEO and Travel, and finding ways to grow organic traffic in response to this.
7. Ongoing troubleshooting of website performance.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate would have:
1. Attention to detail and strong time management.
2. Ability to juggle multiple projects and maintain strong relationships across different departments.
3. Highly numerate.
4. A willingness to learn and a deep level of curiosity.
We’d also love to find someone with:
1. Experience working with WordPress (but don’t worry if you don’t - we can teach you, it’s kind of our thing!).
2. Experience working with content (this could be writing a blog, editing, or anything really!).
3. Experience managing social media channels (ideally within the travel sector).
If you meet at least some of these criteria and think you are a good fit for the role, then please apply. The above criteria act as a guide as to the sort of experience that would set someone up for success in this role. We’d love to hear from you if you think you have what it takes to give our customers the best possible experience, even if you don’t tick every box.
Role: Full-time position. Two days in the office per week; the other three days can be worked remotely.
