NSG Environmental Ltd has been delivering work programmes in the nuclear industry for over 40 years. Traditionally in the areas of decommissioning and waste management, NSG now has a broad customer base and provides a wide spectrum of services across the nuclear project lifecycle, ranging from expert consultancy support, R&D and engineering design to rekit and refurbishment, site installation services and high-hazard physical decommissioning works, amongst others. This work is delivered at NSG’s own offices and purpose-built facilities and nuclear sites across the UK. The delivery and management of these projects and programmes of work is carried out by a skilled workforce composed of both white-collar and blue-collar personnel in technical, administrative, and physical roles.

The Role
As a Trainee HR Administrator, the aim is to become proficient to support the commercial and operational activity of NSG Environmental Limited by ensuring the provision and effective completion of personnel / human resource administration tasks as directed by the HR Advisor and HR Manager.
Training
* To work towards Level 3 CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice
HR Administration
* To action promptly and accurately all administrative tasks as assigned by the HR Advisor / Manager. This may include such elements as:
* Support maintenance & control of annual Leave / sickness absence and reporting via HR system
* Assist with Dispute resolution including investigation documentation and meeting support
* Support with arranging medicals / Wellbeing Appointments
* Administration of NSG HR system (People HR)
* General record keeping and administration
* Support with new starter D&A Screening
* Point of contact for NSG Company cars / Driver Eligibility
* Support with exit Interviews
* Support with the administration of Reward and Recognition process
* Support with the administration of Company Health Cash Plan
* Support with the administration of the IR35 process for ASWs
* Support with the administration of new starters onto the HR system
* Manage process for administering and monitoring position descriptions and person specifications
Recruitment
* To action promptly and accurately all administrative tasks as assigned by the HR Advisor. This may include such elements as:
* When required, take notes during interviews and send interview paperwork to hiring manager in a timely manner.
Reception Cover
* Reception cover as required
* Answering incoming calls as part of the company ring group
Qualifications and Skills
* GCSE / NVQ Level 2 qualification in appropriate subjects including: English, Mathematics, IT etc - Essential
* Educated to A Level / BTEC level- Desirable
* IOSH Managing Safely or Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace or equivalent- Relevant training will be provided if required
* Well organised with the ability to work to timescales and demonstrate attention to detail.- Essential
* Routine recording and reporting of information both verbal and numerical- Essential
* Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information- Essential
* Reception of telephone callers- Desirable
* Experience of employment in a customer facing role- Desirable
