Location: Stockport
Night Shift Vacancy - 4 on 4 off - 12 hour shifts - 19:00 - 07:00 - 42 hours per week

About The Role
As a Fleet Mechanic, you'll be the heartbeat of our fleet operations, ensuring our vehicles are safe, efficient, and ready to hit the road. Your expertise in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles will be crucial to our success.
Key Accountabilities
1. Expert Repairs: Perform repairs that meet or exceed VOSA standards, ensuring our fleet vehicles are always in top condition.
2. Safety First: Adhere to all safety, environmental, and maintenance procedures to keep our operations running smoothly.
3. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the VMU shift Coordinator, FLM, and Logistics team to ensure vehicle availability.
4. Efficiency Goals: Achieve shift KPIs by working efficiently and effectively.
5. Compliance Champion: Report any non-compliance issues promptly.
6. Resource Management: Utilise resources effectively to complete repair tasks.
7. Maintenance Excellence: Maintain vehicles and fleet assets to the highest standards, ensuring they are always road-ready.
8. Liaison Role: Assist in coordinating with Transport and Logistics departments about vehicle availability.
9. Flexibility: Be ready to take on any other VMU duties as needed.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Skills:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Customer-focused attitude.
* City and Guilds LGV Qualifications or equivalent in LGV Vehicle Crafts.
* LGV Licence C+E.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in LGV fleet maintenance operations.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
