This is an exciting opportunity for a Scheme Manager, who is passionate about supporting older people, to take the lead with our highly supportive team at Brookside Retirement Living Scheme, Aughton Street, Ormskirk, L39 3BP.

At Brookside, residents are supported and enabled to maintain an independent lifestyle. As their Scheme Manager, you will provide support and advice to all customers, promoting a friendly community atmosphere.
What will my working week look like?
Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. Some work may be required outside of these office hours.
What will I be responsible for doing?
You will be responsible for delivering quality Retirement Living Scheme services, ensuring that excellent customer service is achieved, performance is maximized, and all activity supports the achievement of the Group's vision and is aligned with the needs of older people.
As our Scheme Manager, you will utilize your previous people management skills, managing a team that provides housing and related services, signposting and liaising with customers and their families, and working in partnership with the on-site facilities management and care providers, as well as external agencies to ensure customers' needs are always met.
It’s a given, you will have great communication skills and be a true “people person.” You will be commercially minded and always on the lookout for opportunities to improve and enhance YHG’s service to our customers.
And what would make me stand out from the crowd?
To be successful as a Scheme Manager here at YHG, you will have:
* GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
* Strong IT skills – e.g., Microsoft Outlook and Word
* Experience of managing Older People’s Housing Services
* Experience of managing staff
Ideally, you will be a:
* Collaborative team player
* Excellent communicator, written and verbal
* Ability to prioritize a busy and reactive workload
This role is really suited to someone who likes to interact with customers and members of the public, particularly older people.
This role also offers genuine progression opportunities with training/qualifications on offer and pathways to Housing Management Coordinator roles.
