Job Details The Shared Service Centre provides specialist business support that drives delivery of payroll, recruitment, ordering, invoicing, IT front-line and HR enquiry services. We operate and maintain a range of systems and processes through accurate data entry, calculations, advice and information on policies, procedures and monitoring. You will gain a working knowledge of Oracle Cloud, (Finance/HR/Payroll system), First Contact/Assyst, (Customer Relations Case management system), MS Teams, (video conferencing application), SharePoint, Fife Council’s intranet and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will be based within the Transactions Payroll Team and you will: Create and maintain employee records on Oracle Cloud (New Starts, Additional Assignments, Transfers, Contract changes (e.g. change of hours) and Leavers. Deal with various Payroll enquiries (leave calculations, statutory sick/maternity pay, overpayments of salary and payslip advice). Extract system data to complete Information Requests. Adhere to strict payroll deadlines. The Person Essential qualifications for this post are SVQF Level 5 (4 qualifications at Intermediate 2 or above) or equivalent in a Business/Customer Service subject that would demonstrate the standard of work required for the role. You should have experience of working in an office using current computer-based applications to carry out a range of duties. Good communication skills are necessary including an awareness of customer care for all enquiries. Confidentiality awareness is essential. Key skills required include accurate numeracy, attention to detail, time management, ability to interpret policy and procedures, interpersonal and organisational.
