They are looking to appoint a Payroll Administrator on a 6-month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week, to become part of their team.
Your new role
The core of this role as a Payroll Administrator will be to support the Senior Payroll Assistant to accurately process and manage employee payroll data for approx 1000 monthly paid employees. This will be a great role to further develop your payroll skills and take on more senior payroll responsibilities.
1. Preparing and issuing necessary payroll documentation such as payslips, P45s, P60s and BACS payment requests
2. Ensuring that PAYE, NI, pensions and other charges are correctly deducted and remitted to the appropriate agencies
3. Reconciling and managing all payroll related control accounts in the nominal ledger, including posting transfers and journals and preparing any reports required
4. Filing P45s and Starter Check Lists online and downloading tax code changes from the HMRC website, implementing changes as appropriate
