Position Summary
Main job functions
Report on and assist with financial related topics.
Principle Accountabilities
Duties, Responsibilities and Key Tasks
Analysing financial impact of all production related topics.
Monitoring and evaluation of product profitability.
Carry out deviation analysis.
Supporting cost improvement programs.
Support the material, labour and overhead standard costing system.
Assist in preparation of Actual, budget and forecast reporting both internally and to group.
Monitor, control and evaluate capital investment approvals and spend, reporting both internally and to group.
Assist with capital expenditure projects by helping prepare capital requests, project organization and planning and controlling spend.
Communication and explanation of finance related topics to non-finance departments.
Set labour and overhead tariffs and run annual cost build up for all part numbers.
Run cost build for all new part numbers and update margin analysis spreadsheet.
Responsible for the completion of various month end tasks.
Responsible for the completion of various weekly tasks.
Carry out Ad Hoc projects
Carry out stock variation investigation work.
To take part in Controlling/Finance department cross cover, and deputise as required
Qualifications
Experience Required
Minimum two years accounting experience.
Experience of working as part of a team.
Knowledge Required
An understanding of accountancy methods to control and report in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office excel.
SAP knowledge preferable.
Knowledge of UK and IFRS accounting principles.
Qualifications / Skills Required
Recognised accountancy qualification ACA, ACCA or CIMA is essential
Good analytical skills.
