Are you a dedicated Geography Teacher with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Simply Education is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a committed educator to join a supportive SEMH provision on the outskirts of Boston, starting in September 2024.
About the Role:
In this unique role, you will be teaching Geography to students who require additional support due to SEMH needs. Your classroom will be a nurturing environment where students feel safe, understood, and motivated to learn. This position requires a strong individual capable of handling challenging behaviour's with patience and expertise, ensuring every child can reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and dynamic Geography lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH.
Develop and implement individualised learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes both academic and personal growth.
Utilise strong behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support for students.
Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or SEMH.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
A compassionate and resilient attitude, with a genuine commitment to improving the educational experience of students with SEMH.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
