Job Title Assistant Project Manager Location Glasgow Salary from £46,000, up to 10% bonus and health cover Flexible Working Pattern Help us create a better future, quicker You will have a key role within the Offshore Development Team supporting the development and delivery or the East Anglia Hub projects. Working for the Project Manager, you will be a key part of the team responsible for the management of the delivery of consent compliance and land agreement for UK Offshore Windfarm and Offshore Transmission Owner (OFTO) grid connection works during pre-construction, construction and operational phases. Primarily the role will be supporting the onshore works. Working with a number of multi-disciplinary project teams will be a key feature of the role. Establishing, fostering and maintaining team spirit and morale through periods of intense workload and activity will be a critical feature. You will be working as part of a global business based in the UK. The position will require travel to various site locations. What you’ll be doing Responsibilities (consent compliance) Management support to the process to discharge consents for Windfarm and OFTO works, in line with the agreed schedules and budgets. Responsibility for agreement and management of necessary budgets. Production of work scopes and specifications for delivery of onshore and offshore consent compliance at all stages of a project as necessary. Management of consultants and legal inputs as necessary. Provide input to all commercial agreements and contracts to ensure project risks are mitigated. Manage tender process and tender assessment for surveys and studies and take forward recommendations for business approval. Liaise and coordinate with multiple packages, consultants and contractors delivering the construction and operation of the project ensuring their scope of works are clear and their contracts robust regarding consent compliance schedules. Contribute to the identification and management of risks, issues and impacts to the projects. Work with Stakeholder Manager and Environmental Manager. Work with wider offshore development team to ensure effective liaison with national Government and regulatory authorities Take a lead on some of the consultations required for consent compliance where necessary. Ensure that the projects maintain high levels of health and safety standards Support PM as directed regarding document management, contract management and stakeholder engagement Responsibilities (land) Work with internal stakeholders and agents to ensure access to land available for surveys either through serving of notices under voluntary agreement or compulsory powers Support the Land PM on overseeing the completion of negotiated Option agreements with private landowners, Support the Land PM on oversee the conclusion of any 3rd party agreements with tenants Manage land agreement related GIS images and inputs for onshore cable route Assist in the preparation of consent/licence applications To provide land specific project management support to onshore development projects and including OFTO package lead, consent compliance team and wider development teams Support land Pm on the interface between contractors and landowners to deal with any reinstatement works, development survey works, pre-construction works etc. Support information management regarding land agreements to the execution team and then to OFTO divestment team. Production of work scopes and specifications for delivery at all stages of a project as necessary and manage the completion of these on time and on budget. Ensure that the projects maintain high levels of health and safety standards Attend project meetings as required and completed monthly reporting Liaison and coordination with Stakeholder Manager, Environment Manager, Consent Compliance Manager. engineering packages, consultants and contractors delivering the design, survey, consenting, construction, and operation of the project. Liaison with Corporate support functions related to land matters – including but not limited to Land and Estates and Legal team – and with other internal teams, consultants and contractors. What you’ll bring Relevant experience within a multi-disciplinary project environment. Relevant experience in development regarding offshore windfarms, onshore and offshore grid connection works. Ability to translate technical detail into commercial impact. Sound planning and analysis skills with the ability to look forward and anticipate problems and thereafter plan and implement mitigating solutions. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent report writing and presentation skills. Excellent personal organisation and time management skills. High degree of self-motivation with a flexible approach to work. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications as a minimum.
