Salary (Actual Salary): L5(£54,939) - L9 (£60,644)
We are looking to appoint an inspirational Head of Department to lead our amazing Science team following the promotion or our current Head of Department.

An excellent knowledge and understanding of the subject is essential, as is the ability to further develop quality first teaching though a strong curriculum model. About the department: The successful candidate will join a positive, friendly and welcoming department. A dynamic department, consisting of fiveother enthusiastic teachers, a one to one tutor, support from a science director, along with fantastic technician support. Outwood Academy Redcar welcomes students aged 11-16, located in the coastal town of Redcar near Middlesbrough in the North-East region.
Our academy is known for its warm and supportive environment, with a focus on inclusion and providing opportunities and experiences beyond the classroom for our students.
There is a real sense of togetherness within the team of staff, who work closely to consistently manage our high standards, creating a calm environment conducive for learning and achievement.
You will be responsible for effective classroom management and the coordinator of class work with any classroom support staff that are present. You must evaluate lessons and incorporate student views and responses to reflect and identify areas of development.
Applicants must hold UK QTS, if trained overseas, or be able to provide relevant evidence that your qualification equates to UK QTS.
