We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor to join a well-established company, being instrumental in promoting a culture of safety, providing expert advice and ensuring compliance with regulations across all operations.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that all risk assessments as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals.
2. Support the Site Management team on the production of Risk Assessments and associated safe systems of work for all activities.
3. The completion of Health and Safety Inspections, preparation of audit and inspection schedules, and the preparation of various reports as requested.
4. Oversight of the sub-contractor approval system and engagement with the supply chain on all health, safety, and environmental matters.
5. Accident, Incident, and Near Miss reporting and investigations.
6. Producing KPI data and trend analysis.
7. Ensuring the workforce is trained, competent, and knowledgeable.
8. Ensure company procedures and practice are in line with industry standards and legislatively correct.
Key Requirements:
1. NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) Qualification.
2. Membership of an appropriate professional body, e.g. IOSH.
3. Minimum 5 years experience within Health & Safety.
4. Extensive experience of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation & its application.
5. Understand the application of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1975, CDM 2015 & all relevant legislation to Company Operations.
6. Desirable: Additional specialist qualifications (First Aid at Work, Scaffold Inspection, NEBOSH Fire Certificate, P400, P402, P405 etc).
