THE ROLE IN GENERAL
We are looking for a uniquely talented Art Director to join our creative team. In this role, you will lead the creative team and oversee the creative process, providing guidance to the creative people that work under you.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support our prestigious client with its vast initiatives and rollout of their initiatives/projects throughout the year.
* Train and mentor graphic designers and work closely with them to ensure they understand the brand identity, vision, mission, and overall creative identity for Charley SIGNATURE’s prestigious clients.
* Lead the design team and manage the workload and scheduling.
* Meet creative standards and challenge briefs in order to deliver original creative work that helps the business in achieving better results.
* Contribute to the overall marketing strategy, innovate and create new ideas that will help move the business forward.
* Accomplish requirements by constantly orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and coaching employees.
* Develop social media templates from a brand look & feel perspective.
* Support the transition to the new digital asset management and workflow system, helping with managing/organizing all assets and workflows.
The ideal candidate would have:
* Minimum of 4 years of experience.
* Excellent use of graphic design skills in the Adobe Creative Suite.
* A passion for luxury brands is a MUST.
* Experience working with luxury brands is a MUST.
* A passion for creative design within the luxury brand sectors is a MUST.
* Attention to detail is a MUST.
* Excellent understanding of typography.
* Excellent understanding of images that reflect the brand's image.
* A good understanding of images that reflect the client objective.
* Excellent understanding of image as rule of third/perspective/image manipulation.
* An innate understanding of complex interface design patterns, including applied and demonstrable knowledge of service design, app systems, mobile and responsive design, and content presentation systems.
* The ability to confidently, professionally, and effectively work to strict timelines and take feedback and direction in a positive and proactive way.
* A degree in Visual Communication or in graphic design.
SUMMARY OF IDEAL SKILL SET REQUIRED:
* Excellent written and oral communication. Fluent English is a MUST. Arabic or Chinese is a plus.
* Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite especially: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
* Knowledge of HTML process, structural site limitations, web development.
* Meeting clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job.
* Ability to design to a high standard for corporate design layout, Creative Suite.
* Ability to prioritize.
* A ‘can-do’ attitude at all times.
* Ability to quickly pick up new skills and processes.
