About the team and the role
Our Brand Marketing team is here to grow love for our brand-boosting awareness and helping more people see us as the go-to for all things home. Whether it’s encouraging our lovely existing customers to pop back in more often, or welcoming new faces to discover what we’re all about, we do it all under our brand platform: ‘The Home of Homes.’
Sitting within the wider Brand Communications team (which includes PR, Influencer Marketing and Advertising), the organic social team brings our brand to life on platforms where our customers spend their time-Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. Creating content that’s engaging, watchable, shareable, and full of our personality.
You’ll lead and nurture the organic social team to deliver best-in-class content to our growing community of over one million followers. You’ll be focused on building brand love, boosting engagement, driving views and growing our audience across our key social platforms-while keeping everything true to our values and vibe.
You will work with the Head of Brand Communications to deliver a social strategy fuelled by compelling content, supporting key categories and business initiatives and that drives brand fame for Dunelm.
This hybrid role offers flexibility, with the option to be based in either our Leicester office or our London office.
What you'll be doing
1. Leading with heart: You'll guide our lovely organic social team-supporting their growth, well-being, and creating a space where everyone feels encouraged to level up and share ideas.
2. Driving the strategy: You'll bring our social strategy to life, keeping us on track to meet engagement, reach, video view and audience growth goals (while having a bit of fun along the way).
3. Getting creative: You’ll help dream up and shape standout content for everything from product launches to community moments-working closely with the wider team to make it all feel fresh, thoughtful, and totally scroll-stopping.
4. Digging into the data: You’ll dive into the numbers to see what’s working, what’s not, and where we can do better-turning insights into action that the whole business can benefit from.
5. Keeping budgets in check: With support from our Head of Brand Communications and the colleagues in Finance, you’ll keep a close eye on the social budget and make sure everything’s running smoothly.
6. Staying ahead of the game: You’ll be our eyes and ears on the latest social trends and platform updates-figuring out which ones are right for us and how to bring them to life our way.
7. Teaming up across the board: You’ll collaborate with fab people from marketing, creative, design, commercial, and more to bring customer-first campaigns to life that are aligned with our big calendar moments.
8. Partnering with the right people: You’ll work with our brilliant PR and Influencer team (and agency partners) to find the right voices to shout about our campaigns and track the impact they make.
What we'll look for in you
1. A social-savvy storyteller: You’ve got solid experience in content-led marketing and know how to bring a social strategy to life, from big-picture planning to getting the details just right.
2. Creative and full of ideas: You’re always coming up with fresh, exciting concepts and have a track record of delivering standout social content and campaigns that spark engagement and grow communities.
3. Platform confident: You know your way around Instagram, TikTok and Facebook and understand what works (and what doesn’t) across each.
4. Insight-driven: You’re confident diving into the data, spotting what matters, and sharing useful insights in a way that lands well with different kinds of people-from creatives to senior stakeholders.
5. A supportive leader: You bring warmth, kindness and encouragement to your team. You’ve helped others grow and flourish, and take pride in creating a positive, empowering team culture.
6. Hands-on and humble: You’re just as comfortable shaping big-picture strategy as you are rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck into the day-to-day. Whether it’s leading a creative session or helping get a post out the door, you’re all in.
7. Collaborative and people-focused: You’ve worked in complex environments before and know how to build strong, trusting relationships that help get great work over the line.
8. Proactive and solutions-focused: You stay cool under pressure, embrace the pace of retail, and always look for smart ways forward when challenges crop up.
9. Detail-obsessed (in the best way): You’ve got a sharp eye and a high bar when it comes to quality-because you know the little things matter.
10. Tuned into who we are: You really get Dunelm-what we care about, what we stand for, and how to bring our brand values to life through thoughtful, meaningful content.
11. A natural brand champion: You believe in what we’re doing, love what we stand for, and are excited to help share that with the world.
