Role:
Are you passionate about walking and inspiring others to get active, outdoors and connect with nature? We are creating a team to support setting up and delivering walks across our beautiful coast and countryside around Felbrigg & Sheringham.
You’ll be involved in our walking offer, whether that’s leading the walk or helping to make sure it is safe and enjoyable. All walks have a leader and a back marker.
Assist staff with route planning and visitors information, with the possibility of offsite promotion and engagement with local groups.
Walk leader training will be provided and regular catch-up sessions with our walk Volunteer Manager. Incident management will be covered in detail during the Walk leader training including what walk leaders responsibilities are.
There might occasionally be some other activities that are of interest to you, that we could use your help with.
Being part of a team that may need to adapt to changing circumstances.
Time commitment:
Volunteering hours vary depending on the role and our opening times. We aim to be as flexible as possible and can discuss more with those interested in the role.
About the organisation:
At the National Trust we protect and care for places so people and nature can thrive. We look after hundreds of houses and close to a million objects, along with vast areas of coastline, countryside, and green spaces, for everyone’s benefit. With our staff, members, volunteers, and supporters, we’re the biggest conservation charity in Europe. Everyone can get involved, everyone can make a difference.
