Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care or care home settings and possess strong communication skills in English. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to care plans.
Duties
* Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support patients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and mobility assistance.
* Drive patients to appointments or social activities as required.
* Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes to the healthcare team.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Assist in the implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
* Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English are required; additional languages are a plus.
* Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting patients when necessary.
* Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is beneficial.
* A compassionate attitude towards patient care and a commitment to maintaining dignity and respect for all individuals.
* Ability to work flexibly, including potential shifts during evenings or weekends as needed.
