Overview Teamwork Partnership is currently recruiting for a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Compliance Manager to join one of their clients team in Burton on Trent. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our operations and fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organisation. The Technical Compliance Manager will work closely with various departments to implement effective compliance strategies and quality assurance processes. The Technical Compliance Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the Site Quality Systems Team, Third Party Audits, Customer Portals, Quality Management System and Non Conformance Corrective Actions This roles drives and ensures compliance with all relevant regulation, legislation, company policies and customer codes of practice / third party standards. Influencing a compliance culture through the site across, all departments. Plays a fundamental role in the support of the maintenance and development of the implemented HACCP & Quality Management System, ensuring good manufacturing practice (GMP) is always adopted. Duties Lead the implementation of industry-leading standards, procedures, policies and associated recording mechanisms for the facility which ensure that Creative Foods Europe Burton operates within current regulation, legislation and codes of practice relating to food manufacturing, food safety, quality assurance, traceability. Primary site contact for all customers / audit bodies regarding arranging site visits & audits. Completing GAP Analysis of COP & standards and communicating to the wider team and implementing accordingly. Resulting in the successful maintenance / on-boarding of customers such as Major UK retailers and global fast food outlets, Leading all elements of the site Third Party & Customer audits, documenting non-conformances and driving corrective action completion and effectiveness. Working with the Technical and Operations team to ensure that where non-conformances are identified that true Root Cause is determined and that clear, robust, long-term and effective corrective and preventative action has been implemented. Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively and work to customer requirements for CAP and able to clearly document the actions taken at site to close out identified non-conformances. Management of customer portals and on-line systems for audit non-conformance and timely corrective action completion. Manage and continuously assess OSI global quality expectations and [GQE] and policies, updating maintaining in-house systems and communicating as appropriate. HACCP Team Leader - ensure Company HACCP system is regularly updated and current. Responsible for assembling & leading the site HACCP team meetings, scheduling reviews, managing training of the team and ensure that any new development products fit within the current site scope. Actively involved in the creation and management of a comprehensive schedule for site traceability programme and internal audits, ensuring compliance with BRCGS and customer standards / policies. Support the implementation of a culture of continuous improvement through right first-time, root cause analysis and sustainable corrective action. Systems of internal auditing to be aligned with operational targets for ownership and accountability. Directly support the Head of Technical and the Technical management team with BRCGS certification process and customer and third-party audits. Active involvement in KPI daily, weekly and monthly management, showing continuous improvement and sustainable corrective action. Work constructively with senior technical management team, executive, commercial, procurement and other functional colleagues and teams to deliver results. To play a prominent role in the technical aspect of critical incident management at site level in the event of any situation. Support in the management of the sites food safety culture, to help prevent deviation in the process that impacts the safety, quality and legality of our products. Understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures which are relevant to both the site and the working environment. Any other duties as deemed reasonable by your line manager or senior management to assist with the operation of the business. Requirements Proven experience in a compliance role or similar position within a food industry. Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and quality assurance practices. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex information and identify potential risks. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey compliance concepts clearly. Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. In-depth working knowledge of large Quality Management Systems. Demonstrable expertise in HACCP, legal and GFSI requirements In-depth and demonstrable working knowledge of BRCGS global standards and customer COPs. Being able to translate a COP into factory friendly compliance. Experience of leading all major UK retailer audits and completing corrective actions and supporting in effective RCA. In-depth working knowledge of Customer Portals, specifications and artwork approval process HACCP and / or Advanced Food Hygiene qualification. Relevant and current BRCGS training / internal auditor / relevant industry training. Relevant industry experience in Technical function, including the practical factory / QA element.
