This post is ideal for someone with an interest in teaching, whilst waiting to retain their clinical skills and knowledge. The post holder would take an honorary clinical teaching fellow position at the university and lead on the undergraduate placement programme at the Trust. The post is 50% based at Aston University and 50% based at the Trust in a clinical setting. Main duties of the job To lead, plan and participate in the delivery of teaching and assessment to Aston Pharmacy School students within the University and George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust To act as a personal tutor to Aston Pharmacy School students, providing pastoral support and academic guidance to named tutees. To participate in the delivery of practice-based clinical teaching of students in the portfolio of programmes within Aston Pharmacy School. To participate in the development of teaching, learning, and assessment processes for Aston Pharmacy School. To participate in the delivery of careers advice to Aston Pharmacy School students. To support research projects carried out by internal staff or Aston University Students. To provide specialist clinical governance support to the department and wider trust which may include procedure and guidance review, audit work, benchmarking and quality indicator/key performance indicators design and review. Be a leading member of the Pharmacy Based Risk and Governance Group (RaGG) and Standards and Guidance Group (StaGG) To produce pharmacy governance reports for delivery at directorate governance groups.
