We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Mortgage Advisor role based within Wealth & Personal Banking in Jersey.
The Mortgage Advisor role within our branch network is to establish and grow our Mortgage business. You will be providing a professional mortgage advice service to both new and existing customers in line with the Bank’s policy on treating customers fairly (TCF). The role is expected to deliver a high quality, customer driven, sales focused service by identifying customer needs for Mortgage products providing advice, to meet those needs.
In this role, you will:
• Provide an agile and flexible service to customers to meet their needs within their channel of choice
• Listen to customers to identify and understand their current and future mortgage and protection needs, helping them to achieve a mortgage package that is fully tailored to their individual needs
• Recognising the wider financial planning needs of individual customers and making referrals to other areas of the bank, where their wider needs can be met
• Proactively developing and strengthening customer relationships and, in doing so, generating new business responsibly
• Apply the principles of Treating Customers Fairly to everything you do
• Develop and build effective working relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of the immediate business area
• Proactively drive mortgage performance and track MI to ensure that all personal and team sales performances exceed plan
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• As an Adviser you must already hold CeMAP qualification or equivalent
• Communicate confidently and professionally with customers
• Seeking out and building on effective working relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of the immediate business area
• Delivery of satisfactory compliance and quality measures
• Have experience of personally complying with business processes, rules and regulations
• Track record in the Mortgage and Lending environment
