Job Title: Male Personal Assistant/Support Worker
Hours: 35 hours a week plus 1 or 2 sleep-in night shifts a week, you will also be required to cover annual leave and sickness when necessary.
Living with a 20-mile radius of Llandudno Junction would be desirable.
This is a permanent position, and we are looking for staff who can make a long term commitment.
Rates of Pay: £12.00 per hour.

About the job:
We are looking for experienced carers for full time work with a severely
disabled man. This is a permanent position, and we are looking for staff
who can make a long term commitment.
Main tasks:
I am a young(ish) man requiring top class support for everything from getting dressed in the morning to socialising. I have a significant physical disability which means I need extensive help with day-to-day tasks such as personal care and household chores. I enjoy being in a light-hearted environment and can offer a pleasant, inclusive, and friendly workplace, where team members are valued and supported.
I would like support with administrating medication, toileting, washing, dressing/undressing, application of prescribed dressings, moving and handling, including the use of a hoist (full training provided).
To provide cover for annual leave and sickness this may include additional over night shifts.
To assist with household duties, including but not limited to, laundry and ironing, making beds, changing bed linen, cleaning bathrooms and associated duties, to ensure my house and vehicle are always kept clean and tidy. To assist with meal preparation, making bread (training provided), helping me to eat and providing drinks throughout the day and evening.
To accompany me to appointments and trips including shopping, visiting friends and family, and going out socially.
To record relevant information and support me to communicate with the rest of the team, by relaying information both verbally, electronically and in a written format.
Any other duties which may be reasonably allocated and fall within the scope and responsibilities for this role.
To undertake any relevant training and ongoing joint review and supervision as required.
Person specification
Experience of working with someone who has a physical disability and experience of manual handling would be desirable.
A non-judgemental attitude and enthusiasm to learn is essential.

Have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to use common sense and be intuitive.
Be able to record and communicate accurately and consistently, with a range of different people.

A driving license is desirable.

A full DBS check will be carried out, the cost of which will be paid for by the employer.
