The Role
As the Head of Infrastructure and Platforms, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the infrastructure and common platforms. You will play a pivotal role in enabling Tracsis to leverage cloud-based technologies effectively, streamline application development, and enhance the overall efficiency and agility of our IT infrastructure.
This role will involve defining the vision, goals, and roadmap for the platform to align with the company's overall business objectives.
Your Impact
Platform Leadership and Management:
* Lead a team of platform engineers, to build, maintain and enhance the platform infrastructure.
* Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
* Define and communicate the vision and strategic direction of platform development and management.
Platform Development and Optimisation:
* Evaluate and select the best platform technologies and vendors that meet business needs.
* Collaborate with development teams to ensure they have the tools, services, and best practices needed to build and deploy applications on the platform.
* Monitor performance and make improvements to enhance speed, reliability, and efficiency.
Security and Compliance:
* Implement security measures, access controls, and monitoring to protect platform services and applications.
* Ownership of our key platform security tools and applications, maintaining and enhancing our capabilities for our Cyber position.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
Cost Management and Efficiency:
* Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for platform usage and resource allocation.
* Monitor expenses and identify opportunities to optimise costs.
Risk and Continuity Management:
* Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies to ensure platform availability during disruptions or failures.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
* Work closely with development teams, IT, and business leaders to ensure platform alignment with organisational goals.
* Create a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Talent Development and People Management:
* Support the People team to recruit, attract, and retain top talent in platform engineering and management.
* Lead with honesty and transparency, providing clear, constructive feedback while celebrating achievements.
* Leverage HiBob to enhance communication, track performance, and ensure timely recognition.
* Create a culture of accountability and continuous growth through open communication and strong relationship-building.
We’re looking for someone with the right mindset, values, and passion for both platforms and people. While technical skills are important, we’re also seeking a leader who truly cares about their team and the impact they make.
You’ll need proven experience in managing platform infrastructure and cloud services, as well as leading technical teams. A deep technical knowledge of cloud computing, platform technologies, and security best practices is essential.
