Our commitment to a flexible and hybrid working culture Role Purpose: The Service Validation Test Analysts focus is on the governance of the service requirements for software testing, used within the operate and maintain function. Working alongside Service Design and Service Transition, is to plan, conduct and perform Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), ensuring operational readiness (pre-release) of a product, service, or system. Key Accountabilities: • Responsible for reviewing, analysing, and approving all defined service requirements for any product, service, or system being delivered as part of a project delivery. • Responsible for developing and delivering plans to co-ordinate and conduct OAT and Service Rehearsals for any product, service, or system, pre-production. • Responsible for producing all relevant OAT documentation, including Test Approach, testing updates and reporting, and OAT End of Test reports. • Responsible for the service rehearsal of core services and operational processes. These include incident, problem, change and service level management for Operational Services. • Responsible for maintaining the relationship between project test teams and operational stakeholders, to ensure scope of testing is complete and all operational scenarios are appropriately tested. • Responsible for overseeing the production of operational test scenarios, scripts, and others for OAT documentation as well as the identification and build of custom data for use in testing where needed. • Responsible for coordinating and leading focused planning sessions with various stakeholders to ensure the full scope of OAT is understood. • Responsible for the tracking and tracing of test cases against defined service requirements defined for the product, service or system being delivered. • Responsible for providing relevant Service Transition Operational Readiness Reviews, with relevant OAT updates. Qualifications: • A strong understanding of Service Management with ITIL and / or SIAM qualifications. • Desirable: ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Software Testing Foundation certified. Required Expertise: • Experience leading a virtual team across business and technical functions. • Experience of working in Telecoms, Media, or Utilities an advantage • Experience with Software Test Strategy, Software Test Management & co-ordination (especially OAT) • Significant experience in continual improvement activities • Awareness of Six Sigma / Lean desirable • Experience in using Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow desirable Required Technical / Professional Skillset(s): • Effective communicator, able to engage, listen and provide feedback and guidance • Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise multiple tasks of varying size over varied timescales • Understand Strategy and Business Deliverables and convert into agile practical operational readiness to facilitate success. • Outcome driven, and able to optimise transition plans, scope readiness activities and drive operational acceptance • Individual Accountability: Able to take initiative, act with confidence and work under own initiative • Growth Mindset: Committed and open to change and challenging the status quo • Excellent problem-solving skills and able to interpret complex change initiative requirements
