Our client, an award-winning small animal 1st opinion and referral hospital, is seeking a passionate veterinary professional to join their esteemed team. As a consult-only veterinary surgeon, you will primarily focus on caring for cats, dogs, and small furries, with opportunities to work with exotic species if desired. The practice also collaborates closely with a local hedgehog charity, adding another dimension to the caseload.
The practice is a bustling first opinion facility with a varied caseload, complemented by referrals in internal medicine, laparoscopy, radiology, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, and acupuncture. The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including video endoscopy, laparoscopy, CR digital X-ray & digital dental X-ray, and more.
Join a dynamic team of 15 veterinary surgeons, including certificate holders in cardiology, advanced imaging, ECC, soft tissue, ophthalmology, small animal medicine, and exotics. The support team includes 15 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 8 Student Veterinary Nurses, and 20 Support Staff. The practice fosters an inquisitive and collaborative learning environment, where well-being and professional development are prioritised.
The ideal candidate will have a client-focused approach and a genuine enthusiasm for general clinical veterinary practice. While a minimum of 2 years' experience is preferred, candidates with additional certifications are encouraged to apply, though these are not essential.

The Rota:
• Full time role - 40 hour week over 4 days
• Includes day shifts and twilight shifts
• 1:4 weekend rota
