Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Job Type: Part-Time, Up to 24 Hours per Week
Salary: £12.03 per hour

We’re seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Wirral, providing essential support to students within a classroom environment. This role is ideal for someone with experience in special educational needs who’s eager to help students achieve their potential and develop crucial skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Student Support: Assist students with learning difficulties or disabilities, helping them stay engaged and succeed in the classroom.
* Implement Education Plans: Work with teachers to put individualized education plans (IEPs) into action, adapting your support to meet each student's unique needs.
* Encourage Skill Development: Aid students in developing their social and communication skills for a more positive school experience.
* Monitor and Feedback: Track student progress and provide insights to the teaching staff to help tailor support where it’s most effective.
Required Qualifications
* Education: GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
* Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs (SEN) is essential.
* Skills: Strong communication, teamwork skills, and experience with manual handling.
* Additional Certifications: Certificate in Moving & Handling is a MUST
Knowledge and Skills
* Understanding of SEN: Familiarity with special educational needs and disabilities, with the ability to offer compassionate and effective support.
* Collaboration: Ability to work closely and collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Working Conditions
* Hours: Up to 24 hours per week in a classroom setting.
* Team Environment: Work closely with teachers and other staff, creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
