Role Overview:
Aldridge School is seeking an exceptional and motivated leader to head its Physical Education department. The successful candidate will inspire both students and staff, driving high standards in teaching, learning, and extracurricular activities. You will lead a team of 8 specialists and manage an extensive curriculum and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the PE department, ensuring a well-rounded experience in both curricular and extracurricular sports.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons, catering to Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including GCSE, Cambridge Nationals, and A-Level PE courses.
• Manage the department's resources, including sports halls, swimming pool, fitness suite, and expansive outdoor fields.
• Drive departmental strategies to achieve high student attainment and engagement.
• Promote inter-house and extracurricular activities, including sports teams and clubs.
• Foster professional development and mentorship within the department.
• Maintain excellent standards of student behavior, fostering a safe and stimulating learning environment.
