The Role
Reporting to our Head of Paid Advertising, you’ll help plan, execute, and optimise a mix of Google Ads and SEO campaigns while ensuring accurate tracking and insightful reporting. You’ll work closely with the team to craft integrated marketing solutions that maximise ROI for our clients.
Candidates with hands-on experience in Google Ads, SEO, and tracking will be prioritised, but if you have the right attitude and a hunger to learn, full training and mentorship will be provided and we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build and manage Google Ads (Search, Display, Performance Max, YouTube) campaigns.
2. Support SEO projects: keyword research, on-page optimisation, and technical audits.
3. Launch and refine paid social campaigns (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok) where relevant.
4. Configure GA4, Google Tag Manager, and other tracking solutions to ensure reliable data.
5. Analyse performance, translate data into clear insights, and recommend improvements.
6. Prepare and present reports, turning complex metrics into plain-English.
7. Lead client calls and meetings, capturing feedback and aligning on goals.
8. Work with designers to develop creative assets (Canva/Adobe, etc.).
9. Stay on top of industry trends, platform updates, and algorithm changes.
10. Contribute blog posts or thought-leadership pieces for the Lilac James website (bonus).
About You
Hands-on or hungry for hands-on. You’ve already managed SEO and Google Ads campaigns — or you’re ready to dive in, backed by our training and mentorship.
Analytical. Able to interpret vast amounts of data, and draw logical conclusions, in order to refine and improve existing and future marketing campaigns.
Client communication. Whether an email update or a Teams presentation, you explain performance in plain English and build great relationships with stakeholders.
Calm multitasker. In a busy, fast-growing agency you prioritise workload, keep multiple campaigns on track, and hit deadlines.
Collaborative. You bounce ideas around with designers, writers, and strategists, giving and receiving feedback.
Growth mindset. Eager to learn and develop new skillsets. The platforms we work with continually evolve, the only certainty in digital marketing is that things will change, so anyone coming into this role has to be comfortable with continual professional improvement.
