Commercial Accountant
Location: Alloa, Scotland (Hybrid Working Policy)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Accountant to join GreenPower Developments Ltd. This role will work closely with key stakeholders across the business, playing a vital role in financial planning and analysis while supporting strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking and dynamic organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive financial planning & analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and financial modelling.
* Collaborate with operational and development managers to oversee and manage budgets effectively.
* Provide commercial insight and support for new business ventures, including hydrogen and electric vehicle (EV) projects.
* Build strong relationships with budget holders and business leaders.
* Offer financial and commercial analysis to support business decisions and process improvements.
* Assist in financial modelling for new projects, acquisitions, and existing sites.
* Support corporate activities such as acquisitions, restructuring, and legal entity setup.
* Assist in vendor contract management, including tendering exercises and due diligence.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a qualified finance professional with a strong commercial mindset. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with non-financial stakeholders to provide valuable financial insights.
Essential Skills & Experience
* ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
* Proven experience in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Strong financial modelling skills, including scenario analysis.
* Experience working in Commercial Accounting, partnering with business leaders and budget holders.
* Strong knowledge of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and KPIs.
* Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and create financial models.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience in financial reporting tools and business partnering.
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience in the energy or construction sector.
* Exposure to project management environments.
* Familiarity with financial management software such as SAGE Intaact.
* Experience in procurement, tendering processes, and vendor management.
