Financial Accountant (consolidated accounts)

Purpose of the role
Are you ready to take your financial expertise to the next level? We're looking for a Financial Accountant to deliver an accurate and timely financial delivery of consolidated group accounts services while contributing to key business processes.
What You'll Do:
* Ensure seamless financial uploads and eliminations in the Comet system.
* Provide precise reporting and insightful analysis.
* Support the Senior Financial Accountant in preparing statutory accounts and addressing auditor queries.
* Assist with VAT returns for UK companies.
* Drive compliance through internal controls.
What We're Looking For:
* A detail-oriented professional who thrives in dynamic environments, with a passion for numbers and the ability to deliver excellence under deadlines.
Key Accountabilities:
* Delivery of consolidated group accounts.
* Delivery of forecast & plan data.
* Suggest and implement process improvement in reporting tools and processes.
* Take full ownership for processes and outputs in assigned functional reporting.
* Complete full reconciliations of balance sheets for your area of responsibility.
* Any other reasonable tasks as determined by line manager.
Skills/Experience:
* Experience working in consolidated accounting.
* Knowledge of financial systems.
* Desire to take ownership and responsibility for tasks.
* Strong communication skills.
* Good Excel skills.
* Comet knowledge advantageous.
* Working towards ACCA or similar accounting qualification.
Education / Qualification:
* Part qualified accountant.

Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 Depending on experience
