We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic team players to provide secretarial support to the nursing team within the General Surgery department as a Medical Secretary. This is a key role in a busy department that works closely with the Medical Teams, Nursing Team, Outpatients Department, the endoscopy unit, and the wider hospital teams. You will be part of a friendly patient-focused team, delivering high quality administrative care to patients referred to the Colorectal team in Ipswich. You will be responsible for ensuring that the administration needs of the department are completed in a timely way. You will ensure that timeframes are met for the management of patient pathways in accordance with Referral to Treatment targets. You will support team members by having a flexible approach to both workload, additional tasks, and working patterns. For this post you will require attention to detail as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise and plan.
