Job content
As the Operations Manager, you will provide daily guidance and leadership to the Operations Team Germany. You are responsible for coordinating, planning, and overseeing the execution of MTD’s daily operational activities. Additionally, you maintain close contact with the people behind MTD’s success: Account and Project Managers regarding the progress of acquired projects, and the team of Field Engineers (technicians) regarding execution. Customer satisfaction, efficient use of personnel, resources & materials, and the implementation of process improvements are central to your role. Finally, you design and oversee structures for effective planning and control of business processes to ensure optimal operations. You will report to and advise the Operations Manager Europe.
Responsibilities
* Provide daily leadership to the entire operational department within Germany (Project Managers and Field Engineers)
* Act as the point of contact for employees regarding organizational or technical issues
* Monitor the registration of hours and costs, as well as the pre- and post-calculations
* Ensure projects are completed within the set timeframes
* Be responsible for water quality and ISO quality standards within MTD, requiring an affinity with current laws and regulations
* Identify and analyze bottlenecks in quality and delivery times, if needed proposing and implementing solutions
* Ensure proper coordination and planning between project management, Engineering & Design, Fleet, and subcontractors
* Regularly visit project sites to stay connected with ongoing projects and use this information to guide the organization
* Conduct regular project meetings with Project Managers and involve other stakeholders as needed (such as project controllers for the financial analyses)
* Report on operational performance and budgets to management

* Higher education level (Fachhochschule/Bachelor) with a technical or construction/infrastructure background
* At least 3 years of experience in practical work execution
* Excellent social and communication skills (in German and English)
* Customer, service, and results-oriented drive

* Stress-resilient and flexible attitude
* Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and lead the team
