Suitable fire engineers must be degree qualified within a relevant engineering field and ideally have 2 years experience working in fire engineering. The successful fire engineer will ideally have experience working with fire strategies, CFD modelling and some exposure to fire risk assessments although experience within one of these areas would be sufficient with further training promised to the fire engineer. Fire engineers ideally will hold some form of membership with a relevant fire related body and have experience working within the commercial or residential sector.
