Rustle Snacks is looking for a Sales & Business Development Lead to drive our next stage of growth as we reintroduce ourselves as the UK’s leading truffle-focused snack and gourmet brand.
About Rustle Snacks
Rustle was born from a passion for bold, chef-inspired flavours and a commitment to using the finest ingredients. Founded by Julian Dyer (Founder of Pots & Co and Notto Pasta), Rustle is now evolving into a truffle specialist, offering a refined range of three Truffle Crisps (Black Truffle, Hot Truffle, and Cheese & Truffle), as well as our newly developed Truffle Oils and Truffle Balsamic Glaze. We are an international brand, with our product selling into Canada, Mexico, Iceland and Sweden, as well as a burgeoning US sales team with plans to expand into the region for 2025!
Using real black truffle from Istria, Croatia, we never compromise on quality – there are no synthetic truffle flavourings in any of our products. Our crisp range is hand-cooked in small batches, preserving the exceptional texture and flavour of our specially selected Opal and Lady Claire potatoes.
Already stocked in Costco, Ocado, and through Cotswold Fayre, we are now expanding our reach across premium independent retailers, department stores, hospitality, and food service.
The Role: UK Sales & Business Development Lead
Rustle Snacks is looking for a dynamic, well-connected, and entrepreneurial sales professional to lead our UK sales efforts. Your mission is to drive distribution and increase sales through both existing and new retail, wholesale, and food service partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Expand our distribution in premium independent retailers, farm shops, delis, high-end grocery stores, and department stores through our network of distributors.
* Leverage your existing industry contacts and actively generate new business opportunities.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with premium retailers, ensuring strong sell-through and in-store success.
* Work closely with our Strategy & Marketing Team to execute a 2025 Sales Plan, aligning sales efforts with brand positioning, marketing strategy, and PR initiatives.
* Gather data on retailer performance, sales velocity, and customer preferences to optimise listings and drive growth within key accounts.
* Support promotional and marketing activations such as sampling, food fairs, PR campaigns, and in-store events to drive brand awareness and trial.
* Identify and develop foodservice and hospitality partnerships, including restaurant groups and high-end hotels.
* Ensure clear communication between Rustle and our distributor partners to optimise stock flow, forecasting, and promotions.
Who We’re Looking For
* A well-networked salesperson with a proven track record in premium food & beverage sales.
* Experience working with UK premium retailers (independent stores, delis, and foodservice).
* Strong industry contacts and ability to hit the ground running with new business development.
* A passion for fine food and gourmet products, ideally with experience in the truffle or luxury food sector.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills – able to pitch and present with confidence.
* A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset – thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
* UK-based (ideally within M25) and able to travel to key accounts, meetings, and events.
* A full UK driving licence is essential.
