The Marketing and Innovation (M&I) function is accountable for the overall growth strategy of the Rentokil Initial Group across the Pest and Hygiene Categories. M&I is accountable for all Marketing and Innovation activities, including branding and marketing communications, proposition development and deployment, product and service innovations, and science and regulatory programmes.
As part of M&I, the Digital Marketing Team is responsible for developing a global digital marketing strategy, working closely with our regional marketing stakeholders. We support creating and managing all digital marketing activities - customer experience/journeys across all digital platforms, digital content marketing, paid advertising, digital conversion optimisation, public domain websites, social marketing and the digital technical platform.
The Digital Marketing Team has three core accountabilities: ensuring a ‘fit for purpose’ digital estate aligned with and supporting RI’s business strategy, principally around driving organic growth; maximising the return on our digital marketing investment across all digital channels and evolving and maintaining our current digital platform and web estate.
Within the Digital Marketing Team are five areas of activity spanning Digital Ops, Data & Analytics, Performance Marketing, Content & Comms, Digital Product, and Digital Account Management, delivered by a team of ~30-40 colleagues.
About the role
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Digital Content team on a 12-month contract. This role will be responsible for content execution, performance tracking, and insights reporting, ensuring that all content meets strategic goals and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of content expertise, analytical skills, and project management experience to enhance content performance and strategy.
Key responsibilities
1. Content strategy and execution:
1. Develop and execute content strategies across web, social, and digital channels
2. Ensure content aligns with SEO and audience engagement best practices
3. Work closely with the digital teams to create high-performing content
4. Conduct content reviews, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and messaging frameworks
2. Project coordination and stakeholder management:
1. Support content workflows, approvals, and localisation where required
2. Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication
3. Oversee content timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder feedback loops
3. Performance insights and optimisation:
1. Monitor and report on content performance, providing insights to improve engagement and lead generation
2. Conduct competitor benchmarking and research to refine content strategies
3. Use data-driven insights to enhance content effectiveness and conversion rates
4. Implement content testing and optimisation strategies based on performance data
Skills and experience
1. Proven experience in digital content marketing, project management, or insights analysis
2. Strong understanding of SEO, optimisation, and content best practices
3. Experience managing content projects and workflows
4. Proficiency in Google Analytics, Search Console, and other content performance tools
5. Ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations
6. Strong time management and organisational skills, with experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
7. Experience in B2B or global digital marketing is a plus
