The role also involves: Leading the preparation of technical plans and making sure that appropriate technical resources are available, understood and deployed. Providing technical guidance and governance on solution development and integration. Evaluating requests for changes and deviations from specifications and recommending actions. Making sure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly. What we need from you You'll need to be familiar with the software development lifecycle. A knowledge of the typical problems associated with the implementation and operations of information systems from initial concept through development and implementation to operation and support is also important. Youll also need: A knowledge of technology infrastructure, data, security and software development and maintenance methods, tools and techniques. Experience in technology strategy, policies and standards, and industryregulations/constraints. A good appreciation of risk management, change management, configuration management, reliability and safety methods and the use of metrics. A familiarity with both generic and specific recognised industry bodies. Leadership skills in operational management, along with the energy to continually develop and grow. Expertise in coaching and mentoring colleagues in one or more areas of responsibility. A creative approach to identifying solutions that will deliver value to members and stakeholders.
