We are looking to hear from Site Managers, who can commute to the M5 corridor for a two-year contract on a project valued at approximately £20 million. This role will involve overseeing the installation, commissioning, and handover phases. In this position, you will report to the Site Project Manager and will be responsible for the overall management of the construction site and compliance with CDM regulations.
You will manage site activities to align with business goals, create project plans, oversee the team and subcontractors, achieve milestones, mitigate risks, communicate with stakeholders, and deliver the project on time and within budget.
YOUR NEW ROLE
*
Assist in maintaining the project plan and monitor progress while preparing status reports
*
Plan plant installation phases, develop schedules, manage critical paths, and ensure timely communication of updates to stakeholders
*
Perform risk management to minimize project risks and resolve issues promptly
*
Identify resource needs within budgetary constraints
*
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements
*
Act as the main contact for subcontractors
*
Ensure project quality standards are met with support from the Quality Manager
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
*
Oversee site work and supervise installation and construction workers
*
Responsible for Construction Design and Management (CDM) of the project
*
Ensure compliance with contract terms and provide regular updates to the Site Project Manager
ABOUT YOU
*
Facilitate technical discussions and manage construction and delivery activities - including all civil, mechanical and electrical works
*
Cross-learning and sharing best practices with the wider project team
*
Interface for the procurement manager to ensure resources and materials are purchased within necessary project timescales
*
Proven Site Management experience in a Construction Environment
*
Demonstrable related site management experience at the project scale
*
Contract Management experience, ideally IChemE Red Book
*
In-depth understanding of construction procedures
*
Experience in managing a Considerate Construction site is an advantage
*
Understanding of industrial mechanical & electrical drawings, P&IDs and installation procedures (combustion and steam generation experience preferred)
*
Site Manager Safety Training Scheme certified (SMSTS) - ESSENTIAL
*
CSCS cardholder
*
Recognised Site Management qualification – ESSENTIAL

Demonstrated experience in performing similar roles - ESSENTIAL
Fully conversant with Microsoft Project and Office suite - ESSENTIAL
First Aid Qualification - PREFERED
ISO/AS standards understanding
Full Driving Licence
