Silver Arrow are looking for a Senior Claims Handler for our transport client based in Middlewich - this is a permanent position.
Managing all insurance claims including road traffic accidents and goods in transit claims from original receipt of a claim through to satisfactory conclusion. This will be achieved by the introduction of efficient processes and procedures, the timely handling of claim notifications and thorough investigations. Continually identifying ways of improving and maximizing driver and vehicle performance, thus reducing claims and therefore costs.
Your Shift Pattern:
* Monday - Friday
* 0800 - 1700
* 1 hour lunch
Your Salary
* £30,000 - £33,000 depending on experience
* Pension contribution after 3 months
Your job:
1. Management of all GIT claim notifications received, adhering to Customer requirements and within agreed SLA's.
2. Management of all RTC notifications in conjunction with insurance broker/company.
3. Follow respective claims processes for each Customer.
4. Investigate all claims thoroughly to achieve a final conclusion including checking the validity of the claim.
5. Information gathering and scrutinizing the claim and the information available.
6. Maintain insurance database with accurate record of claim details, accruals and actuals.
7. Analysis of all claims to highlight claim trends/issues and identify root causes and possible solutions.
8. Liaise with insurers, insurance brokers, Customers, sub-contractors and third parties as and when required.
9. Deal with incoming insurance invoices in a timely fashion.
10. Management of sub-contraction onboarding including all compliance requirements.
11. Management of claims involving sub-contractors including re-invoicing where appropriate.
12. Complete meaningful damage reports as and when required.
13. Conduct in-field observation to reduce claims.
14. Conduct first-line remedial action with drivers.
15. Attend Customer damage meetings as and when required.
16. Management of speeding and harsh braking (general compliance).
