We are currently looking for an experienced Full Time Teacher for our 'Outstanding' rated Aurora Hanley School for September 5. The school supports young people aged 6 - with ASC, communication and sensory needs. We offer life skills and a wide range of GCSE/BTEC accreditations alongside a functional skills/entry level pathway. Behaviours across the school are excellent.
We are seeking an innovative Teacher of ICT/STEM who can drive forwards our approach and create innovative lessons which will enthuse our students. Strong ICT skills, a passion for staying informed and engaged with technology and the ability to share this with others.
The Role:
As a Class Teacher, your role will be to provide high quality teaching that will enable pupils to make progress not just academically but socially and emotionally. You will foster a culture that promotes excellence, equality and high expectations of all students.
You will collaborate with colleagues to develop an exciting, innovative approach to ICT and STEM across KS2/3 and support the wider team in integrating technology to enhance learning and develop skills for lessons and real-world applications.
You will ensure inclusive practice of teaching and learning for young people with ASC. There may be an element of delivering wider subject lessons to enable the smooth running of the school.
Naturally, you will take responsibility for implementing school policies and practices, including those relating to safeguarding and equality of opportunity.
Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
* PGCE, Qualified Teacher status or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
* Strong academic qualifications and experience in teaching ICT, Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths.
* Strong ICT skills, a passion for staying informed and engaged with technology and the ability to share this with others.
* Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
* Ability to create and maintain strong nurturing relationships with young people.
* Experience of managing a range of approaches to learning, to include the students with anxiety/reluctant learners.
