We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in a specialist school in Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Role Overview:
* Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
* Location: Hertfordshire
* Start Date: Immediate
* Hours: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with SEMH needs in both classroom and one-to-one settings.
* Implement tailored interventions and strategies to help students achieve their individual goals.
* Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities that support academic, emotional, and social development.
* Work closely with teachers and other staff to monitor student progress and adapt support plans as needed.
* Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an SEMH setting.
* Strong understanding of SEMH challenges and strategies to support students effectively.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Resilient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to meet the diverse needs of students.
* A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
