A day in the life of a Demand Analyst You will be responsible for developing and maintaining statistically derived forecasts within the market. This includes ensuring the appropriate management of data flows and statistical methodology which will support the Demand Planning function and the wider business. You will primarily use SAS Analytics to ensure consistency and sustainability of tools, processes and skillsets whilst providing support to business users for developed Analytical solutions. Key responsibilities include:- Implement SAS Forecasting solution in the market including appropriate process and data models to support the planning horizon with a full SKU-level forecast across the business. Liaise with stakeholders across multiple functions to facilitate data-driven business decisions, providing meaningful data and commentary to illustrate this. Explore and experiment with new ways of advanced analytics and statistical methods to enhance business processes, efficiencies and generate high value business insights within the supply chain. Lead and promote the use of analytical tools to enable the business to maximise the use of data for decision making. Deliver incremental improvements of KPIs and business benefits. Develop and provide training (using SAS & Power BI) to support business users, including Demand Planners, and enable them to use the analytical tools effectively. Explore new opportunities to identify where advanced analytics can benefit other areas across the business. What will make you successful? You’ll have experience and understanding of key Demand Supply Planning, Supply Chain processes, Business Analytics, objectives, and methodologies with demonstrated analytical and statistical skills, especially through the use of the SAS forecasting suite of tools. With the proven ability to work as part of a virtual team, you’ll work in a collaborative way, building strong relationships with key stakeholders whilst also having the courage to challenge and influence without authority. Other key skills: - Ideally educated in a relevant subject area ie business analytics, statistics. Practical experience in handling diverse data sources. Ability to communicate data to different stakeholders by effectively using data visualisation and storytelling techniques. Be familiar with key concepts in analytics. Able to plan and prioritise work effectively, understanding the business impact. Be open to new ways of working and able to embrace change. Experience with packages such as: SAS, Power BI, Knime, R, Azure and Python or similar. In return, the Supply Chain team can offer you all the support and guidance necessary to succeed.
