The Earth’s Crust Bakery is seeking a passionate, dedicated Baker to join our team. As an artisan bakery, we specialise in sourdough bread and exquisite pastries, tarts, quiches and much more, all lovingly made by our team of skilled bakers. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for creating beautiful, high-quality baked goods, and who enjoys working in a close-knit, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing a variety of goods such as sourdough bread, pastries, and other bakery products.
* Operating and maintaining baking equipment including mixers and laminators.
* Collaborating with a small team of bakers to produce consistent, high-quality products.
* Following and enhancing our recipes to meet the high standards of our customers.
* Adhering to food safety and hygiene controls.
* Participating in production planning and managing baking schedules.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a Baker or similar role.
* Knowledge and skill in the preparation of sourdough breads and pastries.
* Proficiency in using baking machinery and tools.
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
* Good physical condition and endurance; the role involves long hours standing and some heavy lifting.
