Job Title: Senior HR Assistant
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day with a morning start between 8:00 am and 10:00 am)
Salary: £14.50

They are seeking a Senior HR Assistant to join our dedicated team. This part-time role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who values flexibility and has a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain confidentiality and uphold high standards of verbal and written communication.
* Provide sound advice on HR policies and employment legislation.
* Collaborate with department managers, team leaders, and employees to support HR needs.
* Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with data protection regulations.
* Manage recruitment processes, including candidate vetting, interviews, and onboarding.
* Set up new employees on Sage, liaise with payroll, issue contracts, and conduct right-to-work checks.
* Oversee disciplinary actions, investigations, and employee relations issues.
* Manage absences, including RTW documents, sick pay coordination, and employee communication.
* Compile weekly agency timesheets, review invoices, and forward them for payment.
* Provide a daily absence report to management.
* Ensure training records are up to date in collaboration with the Health and Safety Manager.
* Archive files and maintain an organized filing system.
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation, and best practices.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software (experience with Sage is advantageous).
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
* Empathy and the ability to build rapport with employees.
* Proven experience in managing recruitment, disciplinary processes, and training documentation.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.
