Are you an experienced Welder looking for a new challenge? TXM are working with a client who is looking for welders to work in a rewarding and growing environment.
This role will involve working with all types of commercial rail, road, and defence vehicles, structures, and components carrying out MIG and TIG welding.
Purpose of the Role:
* Workshop Operations & Efficiency – Contribute to daily workshop activities, ensuring high standards in fabrication welding, mechanical modifications, and preparation of commercial, rail, road, and defence vehicles.
* Quality, Cost & Performance – Support workload management to meet cost-effective, timely, and high-quality performance targets while contributing to overall workshop objectives.
* Team & Customer Relations – Maintain strong employee and customer relationships to ensure financial and operational targets are met while fostering a positive workshop environment.
Responsibilities:
* Health, Safety & Compliance – Enforce and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards, including PPE usage, corporate uniform compliance, and reporting of accidents, risks, and near misses.
* Operational Standards & Housekeeping – Maintain exceptional housekeeping within the workplace and ensure adherence to Company Safe Systems of Work in both workshop and mobile operations.
* Maintenance & Repairs – Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to high standards, ensuring correct fault diagnosis, proper part installation, and compliance with manufacturer warranty terms.
* Documentation & Reporting – Accurately complete job cards, service sheets, timesheets, and other necessary paperwork while ensuring operational reports and systems are updated.
* Customer Service & Team Support – Build rapport with internal and external customers, support team members through training, and handle workshop inquiries professionally when required.
* Continuous Improvement & Training – Contribute to process improvements, undertake multi-skilling training, and provide on-the-job support to other technicians as needed.
