We now have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer, Pharmacy to join our team at the College of Medicine and Dentistry based in either Cairns, Townsville or Mackay:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy plays a pivotal role in supporting the ongoing growth and success of the pharmacy discipline, ensuring excellence in teaching, strong leadership, and the continued achievements of one of Australia’s leading regional pharmacy programs. You will deliver theoretical and clinical content across one or more subject areas, including the pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy practice, and/or clinical pharmacy, with potential opportunities to contribute to related content in other health programs. The Senior Lecturer will have a research publication and supervision record. This role may also involve acting as a course or subject coordinator, conducting research, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in collaborative consultation across the University and with health services in North Queensland.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You will hold a degree and postgraduate qualifications in Pharmacy or other appropriate degree in a related area in the pharmaceutical sciences and demonstrate relevant teaching and research experience at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. You will bring an understanding of the rural, remote, tropical, and Indigenous contexts in relation to education and health service delivery. The ability to engage effectively with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, is essential.
