Job title: Azure Engineer - Remote - SC Clearance

A newly established team is looking for an Azure Engineer to connect frameworks and develop robust DevOps environments from the ground up. This position is perfect for someone who can shape the direction and construction of our infrastructure, employing tools like Azure and Docker for thorough assessments and migrations. Essentially, this is a completely greenfield environment, and the team requires a proactive and enthusiastic individual to assist them in defining project scope over the coming years.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) using tools such as Terraform for environment creation.
- Develop and manage Azure environments, going beyond simply executing predefined tasks.
- Influence infrastructure projects from inception, including assessment, categorization, and migration of on-premises systems to cloud solutions.
- Use Azure and Docker for comprehensive technical assessments and strategic migration planning.
- Create secure and resilient connectivity solutions and integrate advanced cloud-based services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated enterprise-level experience in technical assessments and cloud migrations, particularly to Azure.
- Familiarity with Azure Migrate, including Discovery and Assessment, and Migration and Modernization.
- Proven experience in developing solutions using Microsoft Azure Resources and Azure security technologies.
- Expertise in engineering event-driven solutions with Azure Event Grid and other Azure services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SecOps, penetration testing techniques, and threat hunting.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform, and scripting languages like PowerShell.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications: Azure Administrator, Azure Security Technologies (AZ-900 / AZ-500).
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple IT domains and with subject matter experts.
